Here We Go!
Jumping off the suspension bridge with a cord connected around my ankles, and plummeting 500 feet down the middle of a breathtaking river gorge in Nepal, ranks high up there as a memory I won't soon forget.
There are moments or times in life where the decisions you've made help reveal the kind of person you are on the inside, and help to shape the decision you make moving forward.
Woodworking and craftsmanship may not carry the same adrenaline component as bungee jumping, but they do similarly reveal the inner man.
Taking on a building project, in a way, is an extension of you.
Who you are.
Conceptualizing. Designing. Fabricating. Finishing. Every part of the process includes decades of drawings, reading, travel, meeting amazing people, making mistakes, even a few successes. The work I do today is a culmination of all my life experiences to date.
Will I build better in the future? Yes, because I am always learning and stretching myself.
Today, I'm here.
